Dear Members and Supporters,
Our first Black Nurses of Southern Maryland, Inc. Adopt-a-Highway cleanup of the chapter year is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026. Please come out and join us as we fellowship together, get a little exercise, and help keep our community clean!
Please review the details below:
What: Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup
When: Saturday, March 14, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Please arrive 15 minutes early at 7:45 AM)
Where: Tall Cedar Lane and Simpson Lane, Clinton Maryland
*We will be meeting at the Primerica Parking lot on Simpson Lane Clinton, Md*
Cleanup Location:
We will clean the shoulder portions of Route 223 (Woodyard Road) between Tall Cedar Lane and Simpson Lane in Clinton, Maryland, on both sides of the highway.
Important Requirements

All participants must watch the required safety video.

All participants must sign a Participant Agreement prior to volunteering.

The agreement must be printed and signed by hand, then emailed back to Jesslyn before the event date.

Additional Information

The committee will provide safety vests, gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers.

You are welcome to bring your own gloves, as we have a limited number of new ones available.

You may wear a mask at any time based on your personal preference.

Please dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather.

All participants must be 12 years of age or older.

Participants ages 12–17 must have a parent or guardian sign their Participant Agreement.

Students may earn community service hours for participating.
Please forward a signed copy of your Participant Agreement to the project lead prior to the scheduled event date.
