The Black Nurses of Southern Maryland (BNSMD) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing health equity and empowering nurses of color. Since our founding in 2012, we have remained dedicated to collaboration, advocacy, and implementing programs that improve the overall well-being of the communities we serve.

Our impactful initiatives include:

• Providing health education and wellness screenings
• Distributing food and personal care items
• Supporting local schools and individuals experiencing homelessness in Prince George’s County, Charles County, and surrounding areas
